BRG Handicap Day Results - April 17 2009 - The Dunes
The fourth Victorian Bushranger Golf Handicap Day for 2009 was held at The Dunes Golf Links in superb conditions under clear skies. A field of 15 scoundrels lined up on one of the great links courses of the Mornington Peninsula to play in our first ever Par competition. Above we see the group of Shane Roberts, Adin Constan, Adam Rudd and Rob Lugton on the tee of the par five 12th hole. When the dust had settled, it was founding BRG member Mikey Dee who had blown the field apart with another massive display on one one of his favourite golf courses. After a horror start where he was minus three after only four holes, this self-styled megastar then went on a scoring frenzy with pluses on 10 of the last 14 holes. In second place was BRG stalwart Richard Fellner with a strong return to form for a plus 2 result and rounding out the podium was new BRG member and even newer father, Shane Roberts. Below are the final results.

New BRG Player of the Year leader Warren Birchall came in at even par to grab fourth place on his own to secure another seven points in the BRG POY race. Neil Hocking took out the Nearest the Pin on the short third and the longest drive was taken out by John Potter on the par five 15th hole known as The Wave Hole for the large cliff that crosses the fairway that demands a lofty blow from the tee to be cleared. Below is Steve Foxwell having his problems on that very hole. He struggled getting off the tee and here he is playing his third shot from the ladies tees - we call this portrait Foxy Lady.
