BRG Handicap Day - July 18 2008 - Gallery & Results

The sixth Bushranger Golf Handicap Day for 2008 was held on the President's Course at the Tocumwal Golf Club in overcast conditions with a few drizzles of rain passing through to keep the field on their toes. A small but cosmopolitan field took to the course - being in such an exotic location it was one of the most exclusive tickets on the BRG Event Schedule with only 8 Bushrangers making the trek. Those that got there did their BRG Player of the Year chances no harm as everyone collected points.

When the dust settled, we had a three way tie on our hands with 'Big' Mick Van Raay, Wade 'Sleepwalker' Jones and David 'Ham' Regenspurger all tied on 35 stableford points. The presentation of the booty for the podium prizes was seperated by countback, but the three gents shared the winning glory and the 10 Player of the Year points on offer. In fourth place was Roger 'Arbeige' Brown who was able to console himself with victory in both the Nearest the Pin and the Longest Drive. The final results are below and the standings for the BRG POY have been updated.

The next BRG event is the 7th Handicap Day for the year at Waterford Valley Golf Course on Saturday August 9 from 10:00 am. This event is a warm up round for the 2nd Victorian Social Golf Club Championships Qualifier for 2008 at the same venue one week later. For more info, watch out for news items and keep an eye on the Event Schedule and the Handicap Day  page. Wade Jones is pretty happy with his equal first place. It seems his special new friend Pw Jones is just as pleased.
