2008 William Buckley Classic - Saturday Gallery Two
Crocko-Diddio tees off on the short par four 10th hole.
Seve takes a shot at a long right-to-left breaking par saving putt on the 11th green with Willo, Quigley (obscured) & Kingo looking on. Arbeige is prowling the fairway in the distance.
Seve missed but gave a good look at the line to partner Kingo. The ball is tracking for the hole.....
And poom!!!! Da King nails another royal slam dunk.
The surgically conjoined Arbeige and Mikey Dee looking the goods on the tee of the par four 13th hole.
Art.
Crocko nuts one offf the tee of the 12th.
On the 12th fairway, Liam, Crocky, Dee & Arbeige measure off their approach shots after a couple of big drives while Q, 007, Seve & King putt out.
Pritch, Lambo, Gavvy & the Hockster on the fairway of the par four 13th hole.
Once the coast is clear, Quigley lets fly with the driver.
On the par three 14th hole, Liam played a superb tee shot past the pin to keep the ball on the same tier as the cup. Here we see him nailing the putt for (another) coast-to-coast birdie. While this photo was being taken, team mate Crocko was rolling around in the cart, rummaging through the esky for more Buckley's Beer and rambling something about being The Stupie and loving it.
On the par four 15th, both teams found the fairway bunker.
Up on the green, they line up their birdie chances overlooking a superb vista of the Peninsula.
From the back of the green, Arbeige makes a massive putt for a sand-save birdie from the fairway bunker. Partner Dee is feeling the joy!
And the love.
The gallery at the 18th was treated to the spectacle of both Liam & Arbeige driving the green in the penultimate group and then Crocko canning an eagle putt. As if that wasn't enough, in the final group, Boo dazzled with a superb approach shot and then Zark hit a putt that looked good all the way. In an amazing twist, the ball pulled up and hung on the edge of the hole for an eternity before tumbling in to delight the crowd and close out the best round of the first day.
