The 2007 Kelly Gang Shootout Results
The 2nd Kelly Gang Shootout was held in challenging, breezy conditions on Sunday February 25, 2007 and was a helmet-full of fun for all the bushrangers who strapped on the armour and got involved. Six ferocious teams lined up for a 2-ball ambrose assault on The Growling Frog Golf Course in Yan Yean. In order of tee times, the line up was:
The Frosty Beverages: Campbell Wilson and Sam Saltis
The Jerilderie Gents: Richard Steers and Daniel Rhodes
The Stringybark Creek Freaks: Johnny Pitt and Matthew Pitt
The Glenrowan Hacks: Roger Brown and Michael David
The Beechworth Boys: Michael Mileo and Mick Van Raay
The Euroa Removalists: Richard Fellner and Scott Wilson
After a thrilling afternoon of superb golf and feisty jocularity, a great time was had by all. When the dust had settled, The Glenrowan Hacks (aka Micky Dee & Arbeige - pictured below) stole the championship with a display of dazzling ball striking and a super round of nett 67 in conditions that were very tough for scoring. For a glimpse of all the action, check out the dazzling 2007 Kelly Gang Shootout Gallery.
