2008 Bushranger Golf Victorian Player of the Year Results
After 13 events carrying POY points throughout 2008, the title came down to the final putts in the last group on the 18th green of the final Handicap Day in December. Going into the last event with a two point lead, Matthew Thomas held off a late charge from David Regenspurger to grab the title outright by a single point. As they were tied for second in the last event and both scored points to increase their totals, a single shot was the difference between them on the last day, so the title could not have been any closer, coming down to their final putts of the year. Below are the results for the top 25 plus ties.
