2009 Bushranger Golf Victorian Player of the Year Results
After 14 events carrying POY points throughout 2009, the title came down to the final putts in the last group on the 18th green of the final Handicap Day in December. Going into the last event there were four players who could still win the title. After a ferocious round, we finished with three players separated by a single point and tie for the title. 2008 runner-up David Regenspurger tied with BRG founding member Richard Fellner to share the title with Mick Van Raay in second place and 2008 winner Matthew Thomas a couple of points further back. For the second year running, it was an absolute nail-biter of a finish with the title decided on the final putt of the year. Below are the results for the top 25 plus ties.
