The 2017 Kelly Gang Shootout Results

The 12th Kelly Gang Shootout was held at Rich River Golf Club over the weekend of July 1 & 2, 2017 and was a helmet-full of fun for all involved. Seven unscrupulous teams lined up for a 4-player per team shootout with 2-ball ambrose on the Saturday and 4-ball ambrose on the Sunday making it a 54-hole event. The teams were:

The Glenrowan Hacks: Nick Sutherland, Lee Dodge, Scott Kidman & Adrian Smithwick
The Frosty Beveridges: Shane Morris, Johnny Morris, Andrew Sexton & Lindsay Pyke
The Beechworth Boys: Matthew Pitt, Ian Steer, Darren Nelson & James Bourke
The Benalla Burglars: Mark Henderson, Wayne Ball, Brett Nichols & Simon Lovett
The Mansfield Wombats: Robbie O'Donnell, John Waltis, Glen McGowan & Nathan Smith
The Corowa Borrowers: John Moore, Leanne Nolte, Pete Jensen & Wayne Dyson
The Jerilderie Gents: Nick Randone, Brendan Davis, Tim Likos & Ashley Davis

When: Saturday & Sunday July 1 & 2, 2017
Where: The Corowa Golf Club
What: A 36-hole siege of various fun formats
Why: For loads of fun, glory, trophies & prizes
Entry: $350. Full payment is required a month prior.
Extras: A warm up game at noon on Friday July 20 ($35 pp & $20 pp for carts)

After a thrilling weekend of golf and jocularity, a great time was had by all and The Jerilderie Gents stole the championship with a super finish to the tournament where they won running away from the field. Below we see the champs (Tim Likos, Brendan Davis, Ashley Davis & Nick Randone) posing with The Glenrowan Perpetual Trophy.
