The first ever William Buckley Classic was played over the weekend of Saturday the 19th and Sunday the 20th of August 2006. The venues were the Open Course at Moonah Links on Saturday and The Eagle Ridge Golf Course on Sunday.
The accommodation was on-course at the Nepean Country Club and the format was 2-ball ambrose stableford over 36 challenging holes. The event was a helmet-full of fun for all involved and the final results were:
